Scope






 

The scope of this workshop is to bring together academicians, designers, contractors, civil protection authorities and insurances companies in order to discuss the following topics of major importance for engineering practice: (a) how the current state of the art knowledge has contributed to increase the structural safety during earthquakes (b) what are the achievements so far (c) what are drawbacks and difficulties (d) what are the society needs (e) what are the new challenges. The aim is to make a balance of the current situation, in order to give some answers and if possible to bring some recommendations.
